‘A New Approach to Pelvic Pain’
The current pelvic pain paradigm focuses on treating endometriosis lesions at the expense of many other causes of pain. It is fear based with the aim of ‘crushing pain’ and ‘destroying endometriosis’ rather than trying to help women listen to and understand what pain may be trying to tell them. Evidence for this approach is not only lacking but may be counterproductive and this talk will present a new way of thinking about and approaching pain that encompasses all aspects of a woman and her environment.

Brooke emphasises the importance of adopting a wholistic approach to pain management and recognises the potential of pleasure as a therapeutic tool. Brooke’s presentation will explore how pleasurable experiences through a mindful approach and using all available senses can unlock physical tension, promote relaxation, influence pain perception and facilitate the healing process. Practical guidance will be offered on self-care practices and strategies for incorporating pleasurable activities into everyday life, fostering a sense of agency and promoting overall wellbeing. Brooke’s aim is to highlight the importance of education, empowerment and de-stigmatisation surrounding pelvic health issues and have listeners gain a deeper understanding of the potential of pleasure in healing pelvic pain and an enhanced ability to provide compassionate care in this space.

‘Meditations for when the body says NO - Experiential Psychoneuroimmunology’
Is your body saying NO? Based on the emerging research in the field of PsychoNeuroImmunology, this is an opportunity for you to personally experience how to use meditation as medicine. Using research from many thought leaders in the field, Celia has a unique way of bringing the research into a meditative bodily based experience. Meditations for Understanding PsychoNeuroImmunology (PNI) will explore our body language, our facial micro expressions, our posture and ultimately how stress & depression is stored in our body.
Dr. Gabor Mate is a leader in the field of psychiatry and PNI and his teachings continue to inspire the medical world to understand how our thoughts and emotions can affect our physical health. Yoga and Meditation have explored this truth in mind body medicine for over 5000 years. Can we merge ancient mysticism and medicine? Can we merge science and spirituality for better health of our patients?
This is an experiential moving meditation session with Celia Roberts, who will teach you how to bring somatic experiencing and compassionate self enquiry into your everyday life to achieve liberation from everyday health conditions and limiting beliefs that the body may be holding onto. Celia warmly invites you to attend.

‘Deep Care: Embodying Care While Working in and Recovering From a Culture of Shame’
As heart-centred and conscious health care providers care is at the forefront of everything we do. Or is it?
When we live, work in and are recovering from a culture of shame – sincere care for ourselves and others is not easy to deeply live and breathe.
Join Claire as we acknowledge the ways we subconsciously perpetuate a culture of shame for ourselves and those we work with. Together, we will experience the Culture of Care framework which is designed to create fertile ground for us to genuinely thrive and grow.
Through trauma-informed, brain-based somatic and embodiment practices, reflection and conversation, participants will leave with a deeper sense of how they can infuse their work and personal lives with the 6 elements of care culture: Safety, Belonging, Consent, Aliveness, Responsibility and Integration.

‘Matrescence the Missing Piece: The Neglected Aspects of Women's Health and the First 1000 Days.’
The word Matrescence was first coined 50 years ago yet remains largely unspoken, unacknowledged and unsupported culturally and by those who need to hear it – We know from ancient cultures we are meant to be handed down information as we move through stages of life and the rites of passage. When we don’t have those acknowledgements and a lack of language to articulate our experience, the process is difficult and we feel lost. We need words to heal.
Every human on earth comes from a mother...
Child development and wellbeing heavily relies on mothers...
How often do we hear women who have given birth or become mothers through surrogacy or adoption talk about how it has changed them, but find it difficult to express the magnitude of this radical, redefining transition?
We need to use matrescence as a bridge for curiosity and enquiry across disciplines, expand the conversation and create a space for researchers, professionals and mothers to broadened their understanding of this critical transition. We haven't taken advantage of this concept yet.
Lauren will take you through a helpful way to reframe the conversation with women about their transition to motherhood, to normalise rather than pathologise. Now is the time to get the word out.

‘Why we need to stop gaslighting our body image angst and find self-compassion.’
Women are gaslighting themselves with body image stress and angst and not realising they are doing it. The cultural norms around body image and expectations on women is toxic, yet we are the ones that feel that toxicity in our internal angst and self-doubt and self -disgust. What we need instead is an inner world of acceptance, kindness and love aka; self-compassion.
Nicole’s talk will explore —
What self-gaslighting is and what it is doing to us/our clients
How to be clear if we/our clients are doing this to ourselves in this world where it is so normal
Where this starts and where it comes from
How to stop internalising the toxic beauty culture
Why self compassion is the antidote
The "how" of self compassion for our bodies
