A new approach to Pelvic Pain
At Vera Wellness, we know complex pelvic pain needs a different approach
For women living with endometriosis, adenomyosis, vaginismus, painful sex, or ongoing cycle-related discomfort – real healing rarely happens in a single appointment.
These conditions are deeply connected to the nervous system, and lasting change requires education, safety, and repetition.
From November 2025, you can begin your healing journey in one of two ways:
OPTION 1 – SELF-PACED SUPPORT
Heal Your Pelvic Pain: A 10-part online course
Led by Dr Peta Wright, Dr Thea Bowler, and holistic physiotherapist Paula Hindle, this evidence-based course is the foundation of our approach – blending the latest neuroscience with trauma-informed, body-based healing practices.
You’ll learn how to:
Understand the science of chronic pain and why education itself is a powerful tool for healing
Calm and retrain your nervous system using proven regulation techniques
Recognise and release subconscious tension patterns that keep pain in place
Integrate simple, daily practices to support your recovery and reduce flare-ups
Rebuild trust in your body – creating a foundation for long-term healing and resilience
OPTION 2 – PERSONALISED CARE
The Pelvic Pain Package: A 6-month pathway
For women seeking specialist, one-to-one care, our integrated package brings everything together – with hands-on guidance from a Pelvic Pain Patient Advocate who will walk with you from start to finish.
What’s included:
Access to the Heal Your Pelvic Pain online course (start immediately) to help you understand your pain and begin creating safety and change in your body
Three sessions with a nervous-system-informed women’s health physiotherapist to help release tension, retrain muscle patterns, and support your body’s return to safety and ease
One 90-minute gynaecology consultation with a Vera specialist to work with you on hormonal and medication options as well as decisions around surgery (if appropriate)
Ongoing check-ins and coordination from your Patient Advocate for the full six months
A follow-up 45-minute gynaecology review to refine your plan and ensure everything is on track
This package supports neuroplastic changes, reduces overwhelm, and gives you ongoing guidance while you build new foundations of safety and resilience.
Why this change?
Because research – and our real-world experience – confirms that understanding your pain is the first step toward changing it.
Through our comprehensive 6-month pathway you will:
Feel empowered and supported to rewire and release your pain
Get far more value from your consultations
Lay strong foundations for long-term healing
How our 6-month pathway works
-

1. Book with a Patient Advocate
Contact the Vera Wellness clinic and schedule an appointment with a Pelvic Pain Patient Advocate, who will develop your personalised plan.
-

2. Get set up
Your Advocate will activate your online course access and schedule your physiotherapy and gynaecology sessions.
-

3. Begin online education
Start Modules 1–2 of the online course (usually 2–3 weeks) before your first appointment.
-

4. Attend your appointments
Your Advocate will coordinate your nervous-system informed physiotherapy sessions and gynaecology consultation.
-

5. Stay supported
Your Advocate remains in touch throughout the 6 months to ensure you feel safe, guided, and never left to navigate this alone.
-

6. Attend your final gynaecology review
This is where we ensure everything is integrating beautifully for your unique needs.
Our Pelvic Pain Patient Advocate is a dedicated support role that walks alongside you throughout your care journey with Vera Wellness.
They offer compassionate administrative and emotional support, act as a consistent point of contact, and ensure you feel heard and understood.
While it’s not a clinical position, the Advocate is available for follow-up check-ins, helping you understand and follow the plan provided by the care team, and they will be your guide to navigating our services and resources with confidence.
