Sense & Soma

A place you can show up as you are and finally exhale

Monthly Embodied Movement Sessions with Claire Stephensen

$80 per person | Vera Wellness Studio

Next session: Friday, 20 March 2026 | 9.30am-11.30am

If you're living with chronic pain, trauma, or the effects of prolonged stress – your body may have become a place you avoid rather than inhabit

Disconnected. Numb or overwhelmed. Moving through life in your head because dropping into your body feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or simply impossible.

Sense & Soma is a monthly 2-hour gathering where you can begin to shift this – gently, at your own pace, in a space that honours exactly where you are right now.

What happens in a Sense & Soma session?

You'll reconnect with your senses – the textures, sounds, and movements that help your nervous system remember that safety and pleasure are possible.

You'll move, sway, shake and settle. You'll attune to what your body is telling you and learn simple, powerful practices you can take with you into your everyday life.

This isn't about pushing through or getting it right. It's about giving your body permission to find its own rhythm – to wake up where it's shut down, to soften where it's bracing, to come back online in a way that feels manageable.

Sense & Soma is for you if:

You're tired of living against yourself and ready to explore what living with yourself might feel like. You want practical tools that work with your body's wisdom. You're looking for a space where the intense, the raw, and everything in between has a home.

Claire Stephensen is a trauma-informed Music Therapist, Somatic Therapist, and Neuropsychotherapist and Educator who creates spaces where all parts of you are welcome.

She artfully weaves together neuroscience, creative expression, and embodied movement – helping people reconnect with the language of their bodies and move through shame, grief and trauma with compassion.

Claire's work is informed by 15 years of clinical experience and her own recovery journey, bringing the kind of authentic, vulnerable leadership that honours the wholeness in even the darkest moments.

To be in Claire’s medicinal spaces means to be valued, acknowledged, and deeply heard. She creatively weaves together sessions that incorporate whole- body listening, psychosomatic education, evidence- based practices and storytelling - demonstrating the kind of authentic, vulnerable and embodied leadership that de-stigmatises our most human expressions.

Through working with Claire, people get to know, understand and express the language of their bodies. Informed by her clinical background and own experiences with recovery, Claire’s work helps people move through shame, grief and trauma. A connector of all things, Claire is able to create pathways for more pleasure, play and creativity through co-regulation, deep attunement and a capacity to see wholeness and potential even in the darkest of moments.
